1. Initiation
Having chosen International Sports Surfaces to provide your surface or consultancy requirements we implement the 5 traditional project management steps that streamline each and every development. At this initiation stage we discuss in detail the nature and scope of the development. It is important that this stage is performed well to ensure the development will be successful in meeting its milestones. The key project controls needed here are an understanding of the clients requirements and making sure that all necessary controls are incorporated into the project. Also addressed at this stage will be budgets, schedules and deliverables.

2. Planning
Project Planning builds on the work done in the initiation stage, through to the development of a project plan. The project plan defines cost, work scope, schedules to name but a few, and includes plans for involving and communicating with all the parties that are affected by the project, as well as identification of an initial set of foreseeable risks that can threaten the project. The results of the planning stage should include the agreed schedule, milestones, an agreed start and finish date that can be produced within the down time and budget that satisfy the clients requirements.

3. Execution and control
Project Execution and Control is where most of the resources are applied on a development. A significant number of team members will join the project at the beginning of this phase. The primary task of the project manager during Execution and Control stage is to enable the Project Team to execute the tasks required to complete the development. The Project Manager uses the processes and plans prepared during the Initiation stage and the Planning stage to manage the project through to completion.

4. Closing
Closing involves the formal acceptance of the project, signing over of the development, signing of warranties and administrative activities. It is at this point that the finished product is released to the client.

5. Maintenance

It is through proper maintenance on some developments that the client will benefit from our expertise in maintaining a quality surface.
